Is it worth it to buy a hair straightener for $130?

That's the sale price. I tried it and it straighend each strand with only one stroke, and it seemed to be vey fast. I think you can straighten with wet hair too. What should I look for in a straighener for that price? Do you think I should buy it?

yeahh if you dont like your hair the way it is you love it when its stright i also love my hair strightend :) it makes it feel alive and slikey i think you should thats what i did :D works like a pro !

if you have really cury hair that is hard to straighten then i would buy it but if not then i would look for something else
Ok, honey sounds like it definitely works for your hair what brand is it?..... but yeah definitely get it for that price theres straighteners for 300 like the ghd (if you have ever have heard of them)...


then again since you are paying $130 and not sure that you want to get it or not maybe you should try looking for a ghd as for they last for ever but yeah pretty expensive but trust me they are amazing,


if not however get the straightener you saw but don't feget to get warranty on it ok, good luck.
If you have tested it and it seems to be good then you should probably get it. With hair straighteners it seems to be that the more expensive then the better because they straighten better and last for longer. But look around on the internet and see if any friends have one that works better.

i think that maybe you should look around for other straighteners as well, but if you really think it would be a good buy, then get it! :)

but if your hair straightens easy and stay that way - maybe look for a cheeper one.

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.





In terms of performance:





The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands





Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,





Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss





Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

Q: What size should I choose?





A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).





Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?





A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

It depends what your hair is like. If it's long, and thick, then probably. But, I have short hair, and my 20 dollar one works fine. It works with wet hair, also.
